Google DeepMind introduced Gemini 3.8 Live and Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking as its most advanced live dialogue models. Both models are now accessible through the Gemini API, Google Workspace, and the Gemini app, allowing users to start voice interactions immediately.
Gemini 3.8 Live supports fast, fluid conversations with near‑real‑time visual input and can switch among 97 languages mid‑dialogue. Gemini 3.8 Live Extended Thinking adds higher‑order reasoning for complex, multi‑step tasks while keeping the conversation uninterrupted, executing tools and API calls in the background.
For developers and enterprises, the models are available via the Gemini Live API and are integrated with platforms such as Agora, Fishjam, LangChain, LiveKit, Pipecat, Vercel, and Vision Agents. All generated audio includes an imperceptible SynthID watermark for traceability.
